There are some new additions to this website. Now, many of the Funeral Music suggestions and some of the Wedding Music suggestions include links to short YouTube videos of Brett playing these works (or at least excerpts thereof). New CD
Brett’s Sonatina for Cor Anglais and piano has been recorded by Rachel Tolmie (cor anglais) and John Martin (piano). This jovial work contrasts a number of more sombre works on this great new CD.
The CD, On the Sorrow of War, is available from Wirripang: http://australiancomposers.com.au/cds/classical/on-the-sorrow-of-war-cd
Composition performance
Brett performed his own ‘Voluntary on Tallis’ Canon’ for organ at Wesley Uniting Church in Canberra on 22 June, 2013. This piece won a competition for a liturgical keyboard work in 2012.
New photos
Have a look at the Gallery page – there are some new photos, including some from my Europe/England trip in Dec 12-Jan 13 playing historic organs.
